Tressa Breindel is a Functional medicine practitioner and acupuncturist. She specializes in understanding and treating the root causes of health issues. She obtained her Masters in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado and is a nationally certified acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist. Tressa began her studies neuro-endocrine-immunology, studying pre-med including additional studies in immunology, genetics, anatomy and physiology. She worked for three years endocrine-immunology and neuroscience labs focusing on physiological adaptations to stress, inflammation and exercise. For more than two years she was a volunteer at Boulder Community hospital in the both the ER and ICU. She was a board member of the University of Colorado, Boulder student neuroscience club, helping educate and connect students with education and professional opportunities. Her 3.5 year, 3000+ hour MSOM program included training in pediatrics, nutritional therapy, life-style counseling, tui na and shiatsu. While earning her masters, she worked in a premier Chinese herbal pharmacy and studied alongside Chip Chace. She combines 16 years of education and experience in Western and Oriental physiology and medical sciences, nutrition, mind-body therapies and stress management to support comprehensive healing in her patients. She is actively devoted to research and a better understanding of health from a molecular, biochemical and energetic modalities. She encourages her patients to ask questions and seeks to empower them in understanding their health and wellness choices through their health journeys.
